John Doe

     "I don't kow what my name is." (p.6)

     I read a book "John Doe." This is suspense story.
    The main character is John. He is a man who was brought from the street and seems to lost his memory.When a doctor asks about him, he can't answer at all. So people in hospital call him John Doe. But this is not true. He knows who he is and where he is from. His real name is John Roberts and actually he is a killer. He killed his own wife, Mary. After killing her, he pritended to be sick and have no memories about him because by doing so, he can escape from being found out and arrested. And also he was looking for next target in the hspital, I think. There is a nurse called Angela who is so beautiful, and she talked a lot with him to help him recall his memory.
     But, actually he was just pritending to lose his memory, and it is not truth, John is fine except withhis memory, so the hospital asks him leave hopsital for another patient who needs a bed. John have been waiting this time. Then he can kill another, it's Angela...

Within High Fences

     I read a book "Within High Fences." This is nice love story.
     The main character is Nancy who works as a guard of a building for refugee. There are some rules such as one biscuit for one person, the guard can't make friends in the refugees.
     One day, a man took two biscuit and he was scold by other guard, but he just wanted to give the biscuits even his one to a boy who was afraid of too much rules and couldn't get biscuit. She saw the scene and his kindness, she started to think about him all day long.
     But like I said, it is not allowed the guard and refgee even to be close, so Nancy should not think about him too much because they can't love each other. Moreover, she had a lover who lived with. So it is bad thing to fall in love another man. However she couldn't help falling love.

     Obviously, this is a forbidden love story. When I read this,  I forgot the time and just kept reading because I wanted to know the end of this story so much! If you are interested in too, please read it!

A Picture to Remember

     There was something strange about the picture today. It didn't make her feel happy. It gave her a strange feeling inside. (p.17)

     I read a book "A Picture to Remember." This is suspense story.
    The main character is Cristina. She works at a museum and loves paintings in the museum. She was happy to work being surround what she loves.
     But one day, an accident happens to her and then everything changes. That day, she rode her motorbike without her helmet as usual. When she atooped at a corner with red signal, she saw the two men in a next car. One of two had a gun, and he had a tattoo of red flower, poppy, on his neck. She was too surprised to see the gun to move even red sibnel changes into green. Then she was crashed the back of her bike and she hit her ead the road so hard.
     Fortunately, she didn't die but she lost her memory about the accident. Maybe you think "Oh, that's good and it is not so serious problem." But this is big problem because the two men was a bank robbery actually, and they wants to kill her in order to stop her tell about the gun to the police. They don't want to be arrested.
     So, after the accident, she became target and even people around her were involved...
     If you are interested in the end of this story, I want you to raed this. This story will make you exciting.

Tales of Horror

     "You can't live in that house. That's the Judge's House."
     "Why are you so afraid? " (p.8)

     I read this book "Tales of Horror." I like horror stories because they make me excited.
     This book has three stories. This is a collection of short stories. My favorite is the first story about an old house which has a scary past. No one wants to live there.
     One day a boy looks for a place to study hard. He wants a quiet room to concentrate on studying. He finds the old house and starts living there. Then strange things happen to him one after another. How is this story's end...?
      Always I read horror, I expect what happen next and what appears, which is scary but also interesting and exciting for me. I often become to be afraid of night because of horror stories, but I can't stop reading, and I want you to enjoy reading it. You will not take so long time to finish reading this, so it's easy to try.

Love by Design

     It is winter. It is raining and Tom is bored.
     Then the door of the library opens and a girl walks in. A beautiful girl in a red coat. She smiles at him - and Tom falls in love. (the book cover)


     I read this book. This is a love story.
     Tom is a boy who wants to be an artist. He is very good at art, but other subjects are bad, so he can't go an art college. So, against his will, he starts to work in a library. Working there is boring for him, but one day, a beautiful girl come into the library and Tom falls in love. The girl is Rita and she wants to be a fashion model. They talk about their dream and make efforts. They can't succeed easily. One day, a man, Spooner, comes to Rita and brings a chance to be a model and it seems to be good. But Tom feel it is too good to believe, so Tom can't help her and they start to pass each other from this time. They become not to contact for a long time.
     During the time, Tom studies hard to enter to art college, and he doesn't want to listen anything about Rita because he can't forget her and she makes him sad, and Rita works very hard under Spooner to earn money to be a model. Then, Tom passes the entrance exam and he is invited the welcome party. But he does not want to join it because he cannot feel joy without her, and its date is his birthday, he wanted to be with her, but he can't, so he want to stay home. However his friend takes him to the welcome party by force and Tom sees Rita there! Tom's friend knew Tom and Rita still love each other and both of them are the new students of the college, and Rita knew Tom's coming, too, so they planned this meet to make them be together again. So this story's title is " Love by Design."

Room 13 and Other Ghost Stories

     ' Please stop that terrible nois, ' the man said.
     ' Mr Jensen! ' 'We thought you were making the noise! ' (p.10)


     I read this book. This book has some stories about the room 13. This is horror. The nomber 13 is thought unlucky number, like we think number 4 is unlucky in Japan. So, in foreign country, they often choose not to make the room 13 or 13 floor. I had heard stories of this kind ever before. And I like to read stories like this, so I chose this book. This is a collection of short stories, so you will not take so long time to finish one story. But if you like horror stories, I reccomend you read this when you have enough time because this book has interesting stories and you must become to want to read more. By the way, when you finish reading all this, you may be frightened at night and you will not want to go bed. Something may be wating for you in the dark of night...
