The big test

     "'You're not studing. How can you pass the test?'

     'It's our secret! We're not going tell you.' They are smiling because they have a plan." (p.5)

     I read abook "The big test" today. In a school, the students will have a big test tomorrow. There's no time and it is not easy to pass, so they study very hard in the library, but two boys don't study for the test. Some students ask them "Will be able to pass the test without studying?," and the boys answer "Yes." Actually, they have a plan, a bad plan. They scheme to steal the data of the test from the teacher, Mr. Harris. Their plan work well and they can get what they wanted. They print the data and sold those data to some friends of theirs. However, the teacher sets a video always and they are of course recorded in video. So, theirwrongdoing is noticed by the teacher and he changes all the test questions before the test. On the next day, they are surprised to see the changes of the test and of course they can't answer at all. They are scold by Mr. Harris and their friends who bought the data from them.

     I think we should study hard for tests if we worry about them. We shouldn't do

foul play or wrongdoing.

The promise

     " 'This bbaby will become a great man,' she said. 'One day, he will be rich. He will give happiness to many people and he will help pooy people like us.' " (p.6)


     I read a book "The promise" yesterday. The begining of this story was unhappy. There were poor people and it was not easy for them to live everyday. One day, a man, Pedro had a baby. And old woman who was said that she can see the future told him the baby will be big and famouse in the future. But Pedro didn't have enough money to feed the baby and he had no job. How can he bring up his baby and how can he see the baby's future the old woman said...

The dog and the bone

       " Be happy with what you have." (p.47)


      I read one of Aesop's Fables, " The dog and the bone." The story is good for not only children but also us.
     One day, the dog stole a bone from butcher. He was running away and came to a bridge. Then he saw another dog on the surface of the river's water, and the another dog had a bone too.  The bone seemed to be bigger than his one, so he growled "I want your bone." At the same time he lost his bone from his open mouth. He regretedwhat he has done and he thought that he should not have so greedy. The moral of this story is "Be happy with what you have."
     This moral is tend to be forgotten often, but I think this is very important thing. This book might have made for children, but it is good for us to read books like this sometimes because we tend to forget so simple and so important things in busy lives. These stories tell us what we have to keep remembering.

Hunter in the darkness

     "You can't win if you don't kill Aku. But the old vampire is still outside. What do you do?" (p.24)


     I read the book "Hunter in the darkness" in Extensive Reading and Listening class. This book has some endings. Those depends on your choices. You will ask two questions in this story and you have to chose an answer, and then you have to go the page which is showed by the book. So you can enjoy your own story, or you can read some stories by reading it some times with different choices.

     There was a vampire hunter and a prbation. The probation is you in this book. You were learning how to hunt vampire and you were about to be a master of hunter. But one day, your teacher (vampire hunter) was killd by vampire, Aku. So you went out to revenge.

     In this book, you are the main character. You can decide what you want to do. I desided some choices and I could kill the vampire, Aku, but I died, too. I saw other pases of the endings, and I found a happy ending that Aku is died and I'm still alive. I wanted to read tyhe story like that. Can you kill the vampire without being killed you?
